Our take
I picked up this 5lb pair for light workouts and rehab exercises. The rubber coating gives a nice feel and protects my floors when I set them down. The hex shape truly prevents rolling, which I appreciate. The handle is comfortable for such a small dumbbell. However, note that the total weight is only 2 pounds per dumbbell – that's quite light. The star-lock collars are a bit flimsy but hold the plates fine. It's a decent budget set for beginners or light toning, but not for serious strength training.
